The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and nice, although the surrounding estate had a slightly odd vibe. There are no places to chill and not much privacy, or flexibility with timings; it has a feeling you are intruding a couple’s gaff. Cash only, no card machine. The breakfast was highly processed bread in plastic packages, which made me feel quite sick; it would be nice to have an option of something a bit more nutritious. When we asked for more coffee at breakfast (supposedly included) he said we had to pay extra; the man of the house seemed annoyed that we were sitting in his dining room at all, and stared at us until we felt it necessary to retreat back to the bedroom. It is a perfectly decent stop-off for pilgrims who can’t quite make it to Santillana del Mar before the close of day, but if you can get all the way there, I would skip this place.
We spent three days there and were delighted. Mercedes and Antonio are a lovely couple who make you feel right at home. They are friendly, approachable, and willing to recommend places to visit and eat. Antonio served a hearty, hearty breakfast. Impeccably clean and absolutely peaceful. A true delight, highly recommended.
I spent 7 days on vacation here. It's a quiet, comfortable, clean, and very family-friendly place! Thank you, Antonio and Mercedes, you made me feel right at home. I'll definitely be back.
Estuvimos 4 días hospedados para asistir a una boda en Polanco a final de junio y acertamos de pleno. Mercedes y su marido nos trataron de maravilla. Nos recomendaron visitas por la zona y restaurantes donde comer o cenar. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendamos.
We spent four days with our family at this accommodation, where we felt right at home. We would especially like to thank the owners, Mercedes and Antonio, for their kindness and warmth. They are delightful and treated us wonderfully, especially my children, who were saddened when we returned because they said they would miss them a lot. The house is fantastic, and the service is unbeatable. Without a doubt, if we return to the area, we will return.
