Don't know what all the fuss was about. We had a wonderful greeting & it was in a good location & comfortable. If you want the Hilton go stay there, & leave it for the normal people. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

I made a reservation with Booking. com and two weeks later this hotel attempted to say my credit card was unusable. I checked with the Credit Card co and there were no issues. I tried using a different, working card, but then got the same message from the hotel. I sent the hotel a message about this and they just cancelled my reservation without any discussion. Very poor customer service and very unreliable. Don't count on your reservation to be honored at this place.

Do not stay here. These people are scammers. They claimed to be able to store my bicycle however I was required to carry it up 2 flights of stairs & squeeze it into a tiny room. They refused to honour a Bookings.com reservation & rudely accused me of making a booking mistake (I didn't) & said 'get out now.' The sheets were filthy also.

Arrived to find there were bedbugs in our room. We contacted the owner and he/she had the audacity to respond with “we don’t have bedbugs, it’s you people from the Camino who bring them with you.” There’s a lot of presumption in this one. First, no, we didn’t bring them, we checked before during and after, and had none on us or in our luggage. Second, who says we’re “from the Camino”? And lastly, it had rained that day, and all our luggage was (luckily) still wrapped in plastic bags. None of that would have mattered, had we had a less adversarial conversation. As it stands, we had to leave and find a new place short notice. And, would you believe it? No bed bugs… not on us and not in there.

It's not bad. Air-conditioning doesn't exist here so in the summer it can get a bit hot .. other than that, it's a perfectly acceptable place to stay in Castro Urdiales.
