2 / 5 Good location: very close to the beach, although not beachfront as advertised, and near the town center.
The terrace is large and comfortable, although it lacks a parasol. There are times of day when there isn't a single bit of shade on the entire terrace.
The garage shouldn't be listed. It doesn't have a driveway permit, the curb isn't properly lowered (I scraped the underside of my car), and the narrow entrance, between a trash can and a tree, forces you to use both lanes of a busy road, crossing a solid line, to maneuver. The other garages in the area do have driveway permits, lowered curbs, and broken lines: which makes me think it's not legal. To make matters worse, halfway through our stay, the automatic door opener broke, and the gate could only be opened manually from the inside.
On the first day, we reported that the sofa and the living room lamp were broken, and we had to put up with them for the entire stay.
The kitchen is unusable. The pans are inside the oven because there's no room anywhere else. One of the burners doesn't work with any of the pans, and the other two are too small. The extractor fan doesn't work: it set off the fire alarm.
In short: I booked one of the most expensive apartments in Castro, expecting an exceptional place. It wasn't what I got, but it was what I paid for.

Very bad experience.
I had a reservation confirmed by Booking.com, and just one day before our vacation began, we received news that the accommodation had canceled it. Booking.com's excuse was a supposed "disinfection process," but the accommodation never responded or answered calls. They just sent a WhatsApp message saying they didn't know anything and that it was Booking.
Canceling with such short notice and without explanation is a total lack of seriousness and respect for guests.
If you want to start your vacation with a bad feeling, this is your place.
1 / 5 They canceled a reservation 3 days before entering, made more than 3 months in advance. First it was stated that it was due to overbooking and then due to a problem with the bathrooms and that they are doing a renovation and there is no time. Then I go in to look for a reservation and there is availability the next day and at a price 50% more expensive than the reservation I made. They give no explanation, they do not offer relocation or any response or compensation.
