Albergue de Cóbreces

We had a wonderful weekend at this hostel with our girls from the skating club. The place is very welcoming, even in November when it starts to get chilly. They provided radiators in the rooms, and the beds were made up with lovely sheets and duvets. The service was excellent: the whole team welcomed us with so much kindness and warmth. It's clear they are well-prepared to host groups and do so with dedication. We are so grateful for the experience and highly recommend it. We will definitely be back!

It's an ideal place to enjoy with a group and make the most of the Cantabrian coast. The facilities are spacious and comfortable, with areas designed for socializing, playing, and relaxing. Being so close to Luaña beach is a real treat, because in just a few minutes you can swim, stroll, or simply enjoy the scenery. The staff is friendly and very attentive, always willing to help and ensure you have the best possible experience. The food is homemade and plentiful, and they also cater to special diets. The location is perfect for combining beach time, cultural excursions, and nature, as Comillas, Santillana del Mar, and even the Picos de Europa mountains are just a few kilometers away. A truly well-rounded place with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

I consider this one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I've had the privilege of staying in both the large and small houses, and I must say that the facilities have everything you need to make your stay an exciting and unique experience. It's spacious enough for everyone to live together peacefully and harmoniously. One of the best things about this hostel is its excellent outdoor area, where you can do all kinds of activities and enjoy yourself in any weather, something you rarely find in hostels. On top of that, you're lucky enough to be able to enjoy a stunning setting just 15-20 minutes away on foot. There, you can enjoy surfing sessions at Luaña beach, the beach itself, or even hike to the Bolao Cliff, one of the most beautiful and breathtaking landscapes I've ever seen. The kitchen staff clearly puts effort and dedication into their work, because the products they offer are high-quality, they have a real knack for cooking, and it's obvious they strive to meet your dietary needs in an original way. The menus they offer are usually quite elaborate and nutritionally balanced, which I personally appreciate. And this is true regardless of any food intolerances you may have; the kitchen staff always looks for the best possible alternative to ensure your satisfaction. But what I appreciate most is that the hostel staff makes you feel like part of the family. From the guests to the kitchen staff, the camp coordinators, and the counselors, they create a powerful synergy that immerses you and makes you feel like you belong. I will definitely return as many times as necessary. Keep up the good work!

We stayed at the large hostel. The food was excellent, the welcome exceptional. If I had to find fault, it would be the lack of more toilets for large groups, but overall it worked well. Perhaps separating the rooms into smaller ones would also be helpful to reduce noise at night. Otherwise, it was fantastic; we had an amazing time.

A good hostel with plenty of room. They offer tea/infusions during your stay, and it's a very comfortable place. The breakfast is plentiful, and the owners are attentive and friendly. There are two small shops and a bakery in the village.
