We stayed at Abba Comillas and were very disappointed. The main reason we booked this hotel was because it advertised a SPA with a sauna — after walking 30 km on the Camino, we were really looking forward to use the Sauna (main reason we booked this expansive hotel). Unfortunately, upon arrival we were told the Sauna was under maintenance. No prior notice, no update, no effort to compensate us for not providing one of the key services they promised. If the Sauna is under maintenance, why don't you update your description and fool customers? That was a trap. On top of that, the location is inconvenient — much too far from the center, so not ideal if you want easy access to the town. The breakfast was very mediocre, nothing memorable from out stay at all. Calling this a 4-star hotel is a huge stretch. Between the misleading description, lack of communication, and underwhelming facilities, this was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve had on the Camino. Would not recommend. You can find better places for half the price in the area.

Poor. Booked what we thought was a more fancy hotel for last night of holiday after a long drive and just before catching the ferry the following day. Like the Marie Celeste during the day - felt very quiet. Went for a cocktail in the evening, only to be told no cocktails available. Then went for dinner, only to be told the restaurant was full. Tried to eat in the bar, only to be told there was probably not enough food available as the restaurant was too busy. We did in fact manage to get a burger and a beer. The burger was fine but was accompanied by a measly portion of just 11 chips. This whole place just feels completely under resourced.

I stayed here for one night while on the Camino del Norté and I was absolutely thrilled with my stay. When i checked in, I asked if i could upgrade my room with outdoor space. Luckily, a room with a terrace was available for a small extra fee. The room was beautiful! Huge interior with high ceilings and massive windows leading to a beautiful big terrace over looking the hills and a bit of the ocean. I sat just there for hours listening to the cowbells! The room was spotlessly clean with all modern touches and a well thought out design. The huge bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The room was so quiet! I really didn't want to leave! The breakfast was also extremely good, with loads of variety. The only slight negative is that's it's not directly in the center and you have to walk 10 minutes up a hill to get to the hotel. But, that's not a big deal. I would do it again and again to stay there! Big shout-out to Marina on reception who welcomed me when i checked in and said goodbye to me when i checked out in the morning. I wonder if she ever sleeps! She was extremely friendly and professional! Thank you!

They have a pool, but it's so cold that anyone couldn't use it. They have a SPA, but so small and we have to book in advance, and we have to pay for this very small place. When I pay for an expensive hotel, I expect a level of service. This level of service is clearly not met. Avoid this hotel
