The furniture is a bit old and used but in good condition; the bedroom for two beds is somewhat cramped. The location is good because everything in Comillas is close by, but having a parking space is essential, because in Comillas and in August you might have a hard time finding parking.
The place is quiet and well located. We stayed in the apartments, which have towels and an iron, as well as all the kitchen utensils. The parking space is a bit narrow, but it's very useful so you don't have to search for parking. The views are beautiful. I'm not giving it more stars because I thought it was quite expensive.
Maybe the furniture needs to be modernized, but it's enough to spend a week. Everything is very clean and cared for. I had read in comments that the beds are uncomfortable, but I suppose it depends on the client's taste, they seemed acceptable to me. They change the sheets all week, but they change the towels after four days, which is great because in the north it takes a long time for clothes to dry.
It's important to understand that prices in the north of Spain aren't as high as in other parts of the country. Therefore, prices tend to be higher. The apartments are worth it, as they are more than adequately equipped, and the appliances are in good condition, although some aren't brand new. They are clean, as are the mattresses. The sofa beds are extremely dangerous if you're not agile. The decor is bland and a bit outdated. The lighting varies from apartment to apartment. The same goes for the signage. The pool is a highlight when the weather is nice.
We were very apprehensive about the reviews, in fact, we brought everything (kitchenware, a dishcloth, a dishwasher...) and when we arrived, we loved the apartment! The location was perfect; our room was on the corner and the bedrooms overlooked the Pontifical University with beautiful views. The kitchen was well-equipped, with a dishwasher in a small bag, a scouring pad, and a dishcloth. There was also an iron, pans, pots, and plenty of plates and glasses. The bathroom had a screen, and it's true that they only give you one roll of toilet paper, but I didn't see that as a problem either. We stayed in a three-person apartment with two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a queen-size bed. The mattresses were quite comfortable, a bit soft, but that depends on taste. Two large closets for everything and plenty of drawers. It's true that the furniture isn't new, but at least in our apartment, it wasn't bad. However, each apartment is different, since we saw another one and the furniture was much older. In short, I think it all depends on the apartment you get. The apartments are in the same building as the hotel. The hotel is on the ground floor, and the apartments are upstairs. We booked directly from the apartments' website and got a 10% discount. The hotel staff were very friendly, and underground parking was included in the price. We'll be back.
