A really nice small family run hotel within a vineyard and with stunning sea and mountain views from the balcony in our room. The staff are really helpful and gave us advice how to catch the bus for a day out in Donostia. Breakfast was excellent, and you are close enough to walk to Getaria for lunch or an evening meal. The path to Getaria is a bit hilly and mainly cobbled, so maybe not suitable for some people, but we enjoyed the 25 minute walk. Ideal if you are catching the ferry to Bilbao (about 80 minutes drive) but wish to stay somewhere quieter.
A hotel that feels like a modern home. We stayed room 5 and we loved it because it has a private terrace overlooking the ocean and vineyards. Friendly staff who speaks good English. Good breakfast. Kitchen is stuffed with premade meals, drinks and bread for a purchase for those who like to be cozy in the hotel instead of going out for dinner to a restaurant. One thing that I didn’t like was a bathtub was situated in the bed room. But overall it is highly recommend.
Could not recommend this hotel more. In a beautiful location with amazing views. The staff is friendly and helpful and we slept great. Location was also great- in the middle of vineyards yet still walkable to downtown Getaria. A perfect little getaway, hope to come back!
Beautiful hotel. Family owned. Very friendly owners. Super cosy and authentic. Rooms are spacy with little balconies. The view is stunning. Comfortable beds and well organized bathrooms. Breakfast is superb! Don’t miss it. Generally the “dining room” space is great. You have some very high quality produce for breakfast. The family has vineyards around the hotel, so next time we do need to test the wine! 15 min walk from Getaria. Rural ambience around. Great for a break from everything.
Simply a wonderful oasis of calm, good cheer and generous welcome. The views are stunning, the rooms immaculately kept. Enjoy a glass of their own wine in the late evening sun on the 1st floor terrace, a simple but wonderful pleasure. Followed by one of the best, wholesome breakfasts one can imagine, sitting in the early morning sunshine on the main terrace with stunning views of the bay of Biscay. Nothing was too much trouble during my stay, and being the only guest that night I felt truly pampered, eating dinner under a full moon and sky full of stars, magical.
