Pensión Katrapona is located right in the old town, overlooking the harbor – a location that couldn’t be better. A real bonus: there’s free parking down by the harbor, which is quite convenient in this area. It was probably the most original accommodation of our trip – stylish, locally authentic, and pleasantly rustic. The rooms are very small, and we honestly didn’t quite know where to put our luggage, but the breathtaking sea view straight from the bed more than made up for it. A place full of character and soul, perfect for travelers who appreciate authentic stays with atmosphere.
Brilliant stay whilst walking the Camino de Santiago. The hotel has beautiful views over the harbour and sea beyond, beds are comfy, water is hot, and you get a wonderful welcome from the family who own and run it. One of our vary favourite stays on the Camino Del Norte! Great fish restaurant just downstairs where we had a fabulous dinner sitting outside looking out over the sea with a 1 minute walk back to our room afterwards! Cannot recommend more.
Stayed there for a night while walking the Camino. Price / quality was quite decent. Got a nice room with view ok the sea. Location is very good in getaria. With so many nice restaurant around. Staff is very friendly. Room was very clean and bed relatively comfortable. Would come back.
A stunning opportunity to relax yourself away from the crowd, just one step by the Atlantic Ocean. Home-made breakfast, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in the middle of the Basque village of Getaria. Not to be missed by a couple.
