Even though we only got a watered down version of Ernesto's story as we don't speak Spanish, I believe he is just a man who is proud of where he comes from and hoping to share his life learnings. The hostel was lovely with all the facilities you need. Food was delicious and donations were voluntary but we were told how the money would be used which was nice. Worth the stop, don't be deterred by the dramatic comments.

This place has a shiny facade and dark secrets. Stay away as it’s run by the Prince of light. Or to say it more clearly the road to H.L. Is paved with good intentions. Young souls be aware!

It's awesome. The installations are the best you'll find, period. The service is awesome and they serve you food for dinner and breakfast. The catch is that you have to attend a mandatory meeting where the pastor will speak for over an hour sharing his life and explaining why he built the Albergue. Also, there's some sect aroma lingering around, which makes you feel uneasy. That said, it was a great experience and finally a place where a donation is that: an anonymous donation (not a fixed amount or handing it to someone under their disapproval look). I wanted to donate 25, but only had 20€ in cash. ¡Buen camino!

This is a great place to rest after a long walking day. They welcome pilgrims for the night, they offer dinner and breakfast. Thank you

The creepiest experience on Camino. We would have chosen another place or kept on walking if we knew in advance. We were not convinced by the concept of hailing Ernesto, his speech, the food or the hospitality. We were creeped out by the people around us who seemed hypnotized by this.. The volunteers seemed overworked. Also we were offered blister-care- People were crying in the hands of the nurse, eventually my walking partner accepted help for his blisters and could not walk for a week after… They proclaim everything is free, but make you feel like you owe them a whole lot and ask for donations so in the end you have paid the same as you would in another place. Except elsewhere you can use the time to relax..
