A bit sketchy when checking in. You check-in at the bar. But what apparently seems like a family business is only for the frugal pilgrim. Basic sheets and towels. Feels like that scene in Big where Tom Hanks stays in that dingy hotel earlier in the movie. No hot water. Key entry. Just slept and left. The gift was the ceiling fan in the room. I hope that never breaks.
Decent place to stay, was the most affordable Pension in town since the albergues are closed. Paid 35€, cash only. Bathroom, just hold your breath. Noisy hallway with motion lights that turn on and off all night….but they have great water pressure! Honestly they’re getting stars for the lady that runs the restaurant downstairs. She was super helpful and kind and is the epitome of customer service.
It is what it is. Rooms small but clean I only used bar at night without a problem. Convenient for trains and trams plus buses etc.
BEDBUCKS, STAY AWAY! I have never had so many bites after just one night here. Never again.
