1 / 5 There is a saying that people may not remember your name, but they will always remember how you make them feel.
When I opened the door to this establishment, I was greeted by an angry old lady trying to push me out of the door because the restaurant was closed for business, even though their hotel was offering reservations. The entrance to the hotel was locked so what other door would I have used except the restaurant door? Yes, I was early, and check-in wasn't for 3 more hours, however, I was hoping the Correos had delivered my luggage so I could grab my clothes from it and take it to get them washed. Either way, nothing could justify the way I was treated. I think the person who tried to talk to me after the old lady tried pushing me out of the restaurant was her son. He said he understood English, but every time I spoke he would interpret me and put up his hands and make a face of disgust while saying; "I don't understand anything you're saying. I don't understand the American accent." I do have a US passport, but I am not American. I am from the Caribbean. I cleaned up my Caribbean accent so that when I speak, I sound more like someone on an American TV show because that accent is the simplest English accent to understand. Therefore, I perceived what he was doing and saying as rude and passive-aggressive.
As far as the room, it was not properly clean. There was hair all over the bed. After removing the 5th hair, I requested a clean set of sheets. I would not stay at this place again or eat at their restaurant.
In response to the owner's comment:
Your response clearly shows exactly the type of person you all are. Very much like Trump in every way. I have never done drugs a day in my life so for you to make such an accusation is clearly because you lack decent character traits to treat all people equally and it is probably why I was greeted like a stray dog when I first arrived. The fact you thought my attitude would change after how I was initially treated with no apology, you are sadly mistaken. Additionally, I have never met the person who picked up or delivered my bags, so how would that person know anything about me? I am not sure why you feel the need to make up a silly version of our encounter, but your response speaks volumes about the type of person you are. At 48 years old, you clearly still have a lot of maturing to do. I have pictures of how I left the room and you told me when I asked for the sheets to be changed to leave the ones I took off on the floor in the bathroom. If you all didn't give me a dirty room with bedsheets that weren't changed as evidenced by all the hair on the bed from the previous guest, there wouldn't be extra sheets on the floor.
