Hotel - Restaurante Montero

We were greeted by a lady with such a warm and genuine smile- just what you need after a day’s walking. She took great care of us. I would recommend as a stop for pilgrims.

Highly recommendable!! Starting by Angeles and Jose, so helpful and attentive, looking after every detail, they made us feel at home! The facility is impecably clean and tidy, everything functional, comfortable bedrooms with awesome views from our windows. Although the kitchen is still closed, Angeles prepared breakfast for us, and the coffee was among the best we have had so far on this Camino!!

My husband and I are cycling the Camino del Norte, Restaurante Montero Mondenedo was one of our overnight stays. It was a 50k plus day for us with many climbs and very warn temperatures. We arrived just after noon, hot and tired. The staff greeted us warmly, brought us cold beverages and even came up with a bowl of potato hips which we had been craving for many kilometers. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and fueled us for another long day of riding. We are grateful to the staff of the Restaurante Montero Mondenedo for their hospitality.

A fantastic find on our Camino in July '23. It was a really hot afternoon as we came up the road, we'd meant to go further but found ourselves stopped by the heat. With that coloring everything thereafter we found the amenities very clean and almost new! The staff were friendly and understanding of a peregrinos' wants. The kitchen was fully functional and vending machine beers never tasted better. I stumbled across a post on fb over a year later and new this was the place.

Thank you so much to the hosts at this albergue! We needed an extra night due to an illness on the camino and they were more than accommodating. It was a gorgeous building and yard. The full kitchen was perfect as well. We also really enjoyed the bizcocho and drinks at the cafe. This is a great stop and very close to the main plaza. Great hospitality.
