I’ve always liked the concept of simple hotels; basic services and price efficiency but this is both extreme and incredibly lazy. The hotel is as unimaginative as its Wi-Fi password. 😅 The furniture looks like something from 20 or 30 years ago, and not in a good way. Even still, you can do rustic or even basic interior choices that feels like there was some kind of thought behind it. Here there is no such thing. Combine that with a lime green hysterical wall colors, it just literally made me sad to be inside the room. If you just want a relatively cheap bed to sleep (with mosquitoes) and be out all day, this is fine but that’s about it. The tendencies of this lazy approach is evident everywhere, from the dusty plastic flowers in the hallways, the missing grouting and cracked bathroom tiles as well as the bathroom sanitaryware that I have to assume have been there since the 80s judging by their style and color. Again, I don’t mean to say that everything old needs to be replaced with new but it should at least be cohesive and there should be some love behind it and when the grouting itself is falling out from between the broken tiles, when the showerhead has been replaced with a new one (which is already leaking and broken) and the old broken fixture still remains on the wall and they didn’t bother changing the old shower hose, it’s just lazy. It cannot possibly be about price because a new complete set, even the most cheap plastic one is like €10 and that would’ve looked better than this mismatched broken mess. The same thing goes for mosquitos. The bright green walls had blood stains from smashed mosquitoes from previous guests and I as well laid awake half the night with a folded towel in my hand trying to smack mosquitoes as they buzzed around my ears all night. Seriously, how much does it cost to install a simple mosquito net frame over the windows? And a fan, I understand that heat isn’t necessarily a long lasting issue in the north of Spain (yet) and even if you don’t install them permanently in the rooms, you should at least have them available. So whether it’s a portable or fan on the ceiling, it just adds value and comfort for a wide variety of people both as a purchase for the hotel and for the operational cost. I bet that would even eliminate most complaints about the absence of air-conditioning. But it doesn’t stop there, no hairdryer? Not even a simple glass to drink water from?! Come on. The building is beautiful from the outside and the location is fantastic overlooking the water and the town below. The area around the hotel is full of greenery and relaxing nature. I also found the gentleman in the reception to be very kind and helpful so it’s a shame that the experience turned so sour from all these easily fixed issues. Just because the hotel is cheap doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve to have a soul or to make a good impression. Just because it’s basic doesn’t mean it has to be crumbling and neglected. This hotel could be a lot more if it had good management but as it stands today it is neither worthy of its high rating or of your money until they address at least these most basic things. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A lovely, charming country hotel. An unbeatable location with beautiful views of the estuary at night and close to the shopping area of Navia. Clean, comfortable, and with incredibly friendly service; the reception staff were delightful. 100% recommended, we will definitely return.

It wasn't very comfortable. We booked for two and were given a single room. There was only one electrical outlet for two people in the room and bathroom. You can hear the showers quite a bit at 1:00 a.m. It's expensive for breakfast... The good thing is that parking is not a problem; it's quite remote.
