Facility was generally okay, but the requirement for a bathing cap for the spa was a turn off otherwise changed my mind on purchasing access. They also hand out tickets and wristbands for proof of stay, but then neglect to lock the exterior doors on the other sides of the building. Which I find to be counterintuitive and lacking security.
Absolutely loved my stay here. Great kitchen and laundry, hairdryer, and towel are available upon request. Wide and sturdy wooden bunk beds were large enough to fit two and wouldn't budge a bit. Checkout is 8 am, likely to give enough time for cleaning, which shows and pays off. Individual lamps and charging units are super convenient and well placed. Shower stalls are plentiful and water was hot. Staff is ever present and friendly.
The receptionist made it such a great stay. She was kind and even helped with our laundry. Stellar customer service!!!
Before booking, you should be informed that the hostel consists of one large room of almost 100 (!) people, which makes for a very loud, crowded, and uncomfortable experience. There are also only two available bathrooms.
Compartments for airing shoes near to bed were effective and hygienic. Bed arrangements with partitions help to make the space cosy and sufficiently private even though there were many beds in one big room. Small pillow was surprisingly comfortable. Well-equipped and mostly clean kitchen and dining area. Many leftover food in the fridge probably because it's the last stop before Santiago.
