The reception was swift and friendly. The rooms are rather small and only have small windows, so they feel dark. The bathrooms are not well separated from the rooms, the space is cramped again. Sink is tiny, and as a house special you get a shower curtain. The whole house is quite noisy so free entertainment is included. If you want air condition (which is included in the price) you will have to ask for the remote control at the reception.
Loved our stay here. We were booked here for our last night on the Camino. The location is very close to the Camino. The room was bright, very comfortable, and clean - and had ac! The food was such a pleasant surprise. We had a wonderful salad with field greens, mango goat cheese, and pineapple followed by a traditional Galician dish. The menu isn't large but had interesting options, including vegetarian options. I enjoyed a regional wine with my meal. The cheesecake we had for dessert was fabulous. Later at night my friend and I shared a cheese board, with local cheeses. It was beautifully presented with nuts, fruits, a jam, and crackers. The service was great. Breakfast the next day was a nice small buffet, which contained muesli and hard boiled eggs in addition to the usual breakfast options. I would definitely stay here again and recommend eating here.
Location is good. The place is very welcoming after the walk. Cafe is nice, enjoy a nice breeze and the view of dairy farm right across the street. Room is small but very clean, neat and comfortable. Their cooking is very tasty, I don’t need to go out to find place for dinner. Definitely recommend.
Very plain looking in the outside, or rather very stark and modern in architecture. When you walk in, though, the owner was charming and so kind. The couches and tables looking over the field of cows were perfect. The super chill music at low volume was additive to the overall restful vibe. The rooms were clean and very modern. Thanks so much for a terrific stay!
It is a tragedy that there aren't 6 stars. This meal was among the best in my life. Get the tomato salad. A lovely hostel with excellent food, vegan options.
