5 / 5 Beautiful room, shared bathroom. Facilities very nice, clean well kept. Small kitchen with coffee!
1 / 5 Wow… seeing the previous comment from a week ago by “Tu Fraganzia”, it seems Pension Peregrina 5 has been having the problem of no hot water for about a week now… Let's start from the beginning: after walking about 20km from Arzúa (with backpacks, as usual), we arrived at the accommodation whose address is on the Booking.com profile, and it turns out it's the wrong address. I don't know who in their right mind puts THEIR OWN HOME ADDRESS on the online profile of the accommodation they manage, but that's another issue that doesn't concern us. LUCKILY, the owner lives in the same town, although at the far end. We had to backtrack to find the guesthouse, because we had missed it, of course. Thankfully, she found us at a crossroads and gave us a ride. When we arrived, exhausted, I decided to take a shower, and lo and behold! There was no hot water. He came to fix it, and enough hot water came out for a 3-minute shower… The heating didn't work either until well into the early hours of the morning, so I left it on all night and ended up sweltering :)
The fact that it's a house (like yours and mine), but turned into a boarding house, takes me back to my teenage years when I shared a flat. Ideal for when you're super tired and want to sleep, but the neighbors don't :) That's what happens when we speculate on housing; we want to maximize our profits.
Anyway, I definitely won't be going back, and I wouldn't recommend it either.
1 / 5 There are Penshen 1.2.3.4.5, but the scammers don't call or send emails. Never use them.
1 / 5 I finished the Camino two days ago and stayed at Pensiones Peregrina 5 in O Pedrouzo. Unfortunately, it was AWFUL. It's an apartment with rooms, everything is very old, the mattress sagged in the middle and I didn't sleep a wink all night. The room was freezing; I had to call them to turn on the heating. There was no hot water and I had to shower with cold water. I had to call a plumber, but it was too late. There was no check-in of any kind, the €55 payment was in cash and without a receipt. I was stunned. Since Pedrouzo is just one street, any hostel or guesthouse is easily accessible. I'm sorry, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
By the way, the photo they have on their WhatsApp profile is NOTHING like what you actually find.
1 / 5 Neither a guesthouse nor a hostel. It's an apartment with four bedrooms, a kitchen, and a single bathroom for nine people.
The beds are incredibly uncomfortable and the soundproofing is very poor.
We weren't able to rest at all before the final stage of the hike.
