Hospedería El Cantio is a charming place to enjoy a few days of relaxation. Everything is very well maintained, the atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. The service received was excellent, always friendly and welcoming. A very pleasant stay that we definitely recommend.
A magnificent stay. Beautiful room with unbeatable views and breakfast included. The staff were very friendly, both the owner and her mother. They were both very welcoming and made us feel right at home.
A very quiet and well-maintained guesthouse. The rooms are a standard size, with the basics for a comfortable night's sleep. Everything is clean and tidy. The beds are perhaps a little hard. Due to its location, it's quite humid. It's 5 minutes from Santillana and 15 minutes from two beaches. It's also very close to Suances and Comillas. There's nothing in Ordeña itself, but Santillana makes up for it. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast is basic but complete.
First of all, the location is excellent, just two minutes from Santillana and well-connected to Comillas/San Vicente, with the added tranquility of being in the countryside. Our room wasn't the one in the photos, but rather a small attic room. However, considering that all the accommodations in the area were completely full and exorbitantly priced, I think the value for money is unbeatable. The photos I've attached are of another room with very nice views, which we also saw had a crib. Parking is easy, and the breakfast could perhaps be improved by adding something whole-grain or yogurt. The staff was friendly. I think I would stay again.
We were three couples here for seven nights and felt right at home. It's run by a lovely family who do everything possible to ensure you have a wonderful time. The rooms are simple but impeccably clean; it's the ideal place to relax, very close to Santillana del Mar but away from the hustle and bustle. I would definitely recommend it. Gema, thank you and your mother for your special effort with the four "walkers" every morning...
