Bosque de Cuevas

Awesome place!

We stayed at Bosques de Pria for six nights in August 2025 as a family (four people and our dog) to visit Asturias. The location is excellent for getting around the area: it's close to Llanes and very well connected for visiting towns and activities. The town itself is very small, but Nueva is just a two-minute drive away, where there are supermarkets and good restaurants. The room we stayed in was very spacious, with a double bed and two single beds, and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. It has a large refrigerator, microwave, and table and four chairs, allowing us to have breakfast or dinner there if needed. We also really appreciated the option to charge our electric car. On the downside, the room had a distinct musty smell, and the cleanliness could be improved: we found some cobwebs, and our towels were only changed once. The common areas, although rustic, are somewhat neglected and littered with old furniture and leftover materials, as if they were under construction (which we didn't see). If they were cleared out and kept clean and tidy, the place would gain a lot of charm. The owner's service was unbeatable, both before and during our stay, and although we didn't ask for much information, he recommended a couple of restaurants that were very good. In terms of value for money, I think it's good. It's a recommendable accommodation if you're looking for a simple, comfortable, and well-located base for exploring Asturias and Cantabria, without luxuries or high standards of cleanliness and furnishings. If impeccable order and new furniture are your priority, this may not be your best option.

We have stayed 8 nights, and we have been super good. The room had everything, a kitchenette, and a patio, which was important to us since we were traveling with our pet. It is surrounded by nature, and located near Llanes and Ribadesella, with Oviedo 1 hour away, that is, a very good location. The owner is super attentive at all times. We will surely return next year.

I stayed here for four days and generally liked it. I'd like to point out that the last night wasn't such a great stay. They moved me to a room on the top floor, the 9th floor, and that room had a very low ceiling, like an attic with a loft. It's hot, and if you're tall like me (1.80m or taller), I recommend not staying in the room; you'll hit your head a lot, as has happened to me. Using the restroom is a nightmare and uncomfortable. The rest of our stay was in room 3, and it was very comfortable and pleasant. The service is pleasant and adequate, and the breakfasts are fresh, light, and delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful. I recommend this place, though I'd be advised to avoid rooms 9 or 10, which aren't suitable for tall people.

The hostel is very nice, the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. However, it's not a completely clean place; there are squashed spiders and mosquitoes on the wall, and the trash was overflowing the entire time we were there, and no one picked it up. Plus, they're building a pool, and the garden is in disrepair. Anyway, if they finish the construction and clean it up a bit, the place will become very cozy and beautiful.
