Apartamentos Mazuga Rural

We are four adults and spent three very relaxing days. Arrival was easy, access was seamless, and we were completely independent. We found the apartment, which was fully adapted, comfortable and spacious.

It's truly sad to have to write this review after enjoying the "La Mazuga Rural" apartments for over 19 years. I certainly never thought I'd see the day when I'd recommend looking for another accommodation option, but sadly, here we are. Our family (5 people) has spent unforgettable summers here, but since the change of management two years ago, the experience has been downright disappointing. Although the apartments at "La Mazuga Rural" are the same as always, the current management leaves much to be desired. And to clarify, this review is for "La Mazuga Rural," not for the residents of "Cueto Mazuga," where the owner is attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares about his guests. If you're thinking about staying here, I highly recommend choosing the "Cueto Mazuga" apartments, as the facilities (apartments, pool, garden, and common areas) are the same, but the difference in management is vast. This year, after staying at the same apartment for 15 days every summer, we encountered several problems. From the first day, we've had to live with alarming humidity in the bathroom, which no one bothered to fix, despite our repeated complaints (photo attached). But the worst part was that, despite the fact that the rental price includes two days of full cleaning (changing sheets, towels, etc.), they didn't come to clean even once. Despite reminding us several times, they always gave us the runaround, while family friends of ours staying at "Cueto Mazuga" enjoyed the cleaning service twice during the same period. This is the first time this has happened to us. Furthermore, the remote control they provided us to open the garage door had no batteries, and despite our reporting it, nothing was done about it. As if that weren't enough, although the apartment is for four people, one of my brothers, who lives abroad, wanted to join us for a few days. We notified the management about the possible arrival of a fifth person, but they told us it wasn't possible and forced us to book a hotel room, even though the apartment has a sofa bed (which, by the way, is broken). So if you were planning on bringing a guest for a few days, forget it. This left us with a bitter feeling, as if they didn't want us there any more, ignoring our problems and disregarding our concerns, despite our loyalty in returning year after year. It's incredible that for 18 years, there have always been five of us in that apartment without any problems, and now we find ourselves with these senseless restrictions and no willingness to help. It's truly disappointing to see how a place that has meant so much to our family has declined in this way. It pains us deeply to have to look for another place for our vacation, but it's clear that "La Mazuga Rural" is no longer what it used to be. We do not recommend this place under its current management, and we hope that in the future, the necessary measures will be taken to restore the level of service we valued so much.

We, a family of four, stayed the second week of July. Apart from the staff, who were very friendly, everything was a disaster. I hate to say it, but the facilities are in dire need of major renovation. It's possible that people aren't using things properly either. The ceramic hob seemed new, but it had several chips. The dampness throughout the house, especially in the master bedroom, was enormous and smelly. It was truly disgusting to leave clothes in the wardrobes, which looked, at best, like something from a collector's collection. We stopped opening the bathroom window for fear of not being able to close it again. The toilet bowl was a constant, uncontrollable wobble, and thank goodness we usually bring our own pans from home. We won't be back.

We've been staying here for many years. The apartments are very clean and have everything you need. The staff is very friendly. The views are spectacular, and the beach is right next door. Llanes is also very close, and there are many places to visit nearby, as well as different hiking trails. 100% recommended!

Impressive. This is the third year we've spent our vacation in these apartments, and we plan to continue doing so. The facilities are excellent, everything is provided, and if you need anything, just ask and they'll get it for you. Very friendly and attentive staff. Ideal for spending a few quiet days with family and pets.
