For a hostel on the Camino, this place is fair value. The staff is very friendly, the outdoor area is nice, it’s nice they provide laundry soap to hand wash clothes and a clothes line to dry them on. The breakfast is bread, fruit, and coffee. For 22 euros, it’s more than I expected. Recommend.
We had a very bad experience during the four nights we spent there; I don't recommend it. The cleaning was extremely poor, the sheets had hair on them, and the bathroom floor was covered in stains. The shower floor was disgusting with quite a few stains. I showered trying not to touch anything, and it was quite uncomfortable. The breakfast and the receptionist were fine, but for me, the poor cleaning says it all. We won't be back.
Hostel 2 km from the center of Llanes. The rooms are simple and clean. The bathroom smelled like a drain. The buffet breakfast is very complete and varied, and it's worth it. The downside is that it starts at 8 a.m., and depending on your plans, such as hiking or the Camino de Santiago, it can be too late and prevent you from avoiding the hottest hours of the day. The staff is very friendly and the gardens are fantastic. There's a very nice beach nearby.
The hostel wasn't great, to say the least. The bathroom smelled awful, it was filthy, and the toilet paper was already used. There was no soap either. The room was damp, the breakfast was terrible—just supermarket pastries and the cheapest ham you could find. The cheese was stale, and on top of that, you had to leave the table spotless. There was a sign that said, "Wash your plate and put it back where it belongs." In conclusion, I don't recommend it. I don't know how it can have three stars, almost four, when the price is so high. It also claims to be an international hostel, but it's much more than that. I don't recommend it.
A hostel that exceeded my expectations. The staff was super attentive and very friendly. They treated us like family. The breakfast was better than some hotels I've stayed at, even though it was a hostel. The facilities were comfortable and clean, with a great garden overlooking the mountains. We'll be back.
