Pensión Carragal

Great Pension in Ribadeo, very easy check in after we phoned the staff. Showed us our room and another room we could eat and use kettle, coffee machine, microwave. Sixth floor so great views from window. Very close to all amenities in the town. About half a mile to the bus station and a wee bit less to Feve train station. We walked around the town and beyond. Lovely walk to the lighthouse. Sea was very rough, made for some great views. Very windy with a few heavy showers and long periods of rain. Room was very comfortable and the bed was great. Shower was very good. We spent four nights at pension. We would recommend and use again. We arrived from Lugo using Arriva buses then headed to Navia on the Alsa bus. Cheers 😁😁

This enterprising owner has converted the top floor of a block of flats into small hotel/alberge. The owner is welcoming and the accommodation is simple but clean. There is a sitting room and cooking facilities. My room had a small balcony looking out towards the foothills of the Cordillera Cantábrica. Highly recommended.

The owner Pablo is very welcoming and helpful. Very clean and neat. It's like a home away from home. 🤗🤗

I have never had such a terrible experience with any service in my life. I stayed at this guesthouse in October, and there was a huge plague of bedbugs that caused me a horrible infestation, hundreds of bites all over my body. I am fortunate in that I am in reasonable health and do not have allergies, because I could have been put in terrible danger without my knowledge. The owner admitted that he had seen bedbugs in every room of the guesthouse at one time and did not take responsibility at all for the public health problem he had in his business. I had to leave immediately, losing a lot of money because of the trouble I got myself into because of the conditions of this place, and he did not even deign to refund me what I had paid for the week I spent in this damned guesthouse. They came to Ribadeo on foot to work, and I spent more than I earn from working because of this horrendous service that endangered the health and livelihood of all the people who went through this pension without knowing that the service they paid for was going to mortgage them in such a serious and difficult way to resolve. It is infamous.

Disgusting! The room smelled of stale tobacco, the sheets were ancient, and there were bugs all over the place—on the sheets, mattresses, walls—and the sheets were covered in bug blood. The bathtub was rusty, the towels smelled musty, and there was dust everywhere. The room was unbearably hot. I wouldn't go back even if they gave me the stay for free. The health department should shut this place down. Absolutely disgusting.
