Puente del Pilar

We had an excellent dinner at Fernando’s place, with croquettes, salad, shrimps (pic), Cachopo (pic) and deserts in the garden opposite the lake and the old gate. Excellent dinner, overall 100 e inclusive a bottle of wine.

Visited this beautiful place with a friend who lives nearby. It's one of those places you'd pass by in the car but it is WELL worth visiting. Loated just a km or 2 outside of Ribadesella. You are greeted with a warm welcome by Pilar an her son and daughter. Food is delightful, all lovingly homemade and organic or home produced. It's a little bit more expensive than your typical Sidreria but you can't really compare this place with a Sidreria because it's so different. Pretty tearoom decor and lovely views of the river. We shared a salad of tomato and avocado, then some chicken croquetas, a cachopo, 2 glasses of wine and some yummy carrot cake. All was very delicious. I will return to this little gem of a restaurant soon. And I imagine in the summer it is even more beautiful as you can sit outside in the gardens.

...we also wanted to stay at the youth hostel, but it's now a surf house! And of course, there were no rooms available - so we found this gem through this platform! Checked in late at night, very friendly... Great rooms, lovingly and playfully decorated in the Laura Ashley style - as is the restaurant - a dream interior, super delicious dinner and breakfast! Top-notch service, it comes at a price, but here you can treat yourself 😋

Spectacular service and treatment. I haven't met such friendly and helpful people in a long time! Everything was incredible, the food was delicious, and the service was fast. 100% recommended. You do have to book in advance, though. In short, a 10 and a great experience. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
