Hotel Don Pepe Ria is two star hotel across the street from main building that is on the beach. There are stairs you have to climb down to enter it. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the lift stopped at 2nd. so we have to climb the stairs again which was pretty hard with suitcases. There was no air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was in the main building and it was excellent except for the coffee which was bad.
Great find! Hotel sits on the beach edge, great views with a balcony and it was lovely to hear the sound of the waves. Very kind and helpful reception team (I believe it was Yolanda who welcomed us) who were so kind to speak in English to us with our terrible Spanish! We were able to borrow the hotel bikes for a ride around the harbour on the morning of our departure. We missed the fact that there is no air con, and we were there during a heatwave, but the ceiling fan gave us some reprieve through the night! Would recommend!
No bicycles in the room policy, despite having plenty of room. Storage in the separate garage is at your own risk, no insurance. I spent quite some time trying to get in and out of it, which was unnecessary. Otherwise, a pleasant experience.
Rooms looked fine. They were very clean. The biggest issue was noise. You could hear everything from the floor above. There was a baby crying all night. I couldn't sleep. Felt bad for the parents. The staff was really nice.
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Our Balcony was overlooking the beach. Central location. Breakfast in the morning is lovely again overlooking the ocean. The breakfast buffet consists of cold meats, cheeses, fruits and croissants. Fresh orange juice was delightful. The most comfortable beds! Be aware no air conditioning (not a problem in September for our visit) however, I imagine it could be warm in summer.
