La Escuela is by far my favourite place to stay in Asturias❤️ This beautiful cozy quiet house that used to be a school is surrounded by green hills. It has a lovely outdoor area with BBQ where you can enjoy a meal and relax. The living room and kitchen have everything you need and are very spacious. The rooms upstairs are a delight and also the mattresses are super comfy The house has two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) with great showers. It is very well located in the shire of La Llera. The little whiny road close by, takes you to Colunga in less then 10 minutes. This little gem is run by a really friendly family that live close by and are always ready to help Upon arrival there’s a cold bottle of sidra in the fridge and some other lovely treats from the area. I will definitely come back ❤️🥰
We spent the last two weeks of July in this wonderful house located in a spectacular setting. The hosts have created a very welcoming atmosphere, with every detail left out, and the history of the old school that once housed there has been lovingly preserved. The location of the school is excellent. You have everything right at your fingertips: mountains, beaches, trails for all levels. The owners' constant attention and service were top-notch. They treated us with very kind attention, which is greatly appreciated. Two people from Madrid and two from Oviedo.
Everything was great, if you are looking to spend a few days and disconnect from everything and breathe fresh air, this is definitely your stay in the middle of nature, everything taken care of down to the last detail, the decoration of the house is fantastic, everything is new and has everything, it lacks nothing and if we talk about the host Emi and her husband, I only have words of gratitude, they advised us on everything, any questions we had were resolved immediately, you can see that they want their guests to feel at home and enjoy their beautiful land that is Asturias!! As soon as we arrived they welcomed us with open arms and with a great assortment of products from their land! A 10 in all aspects, looking forward to returning.
We (a group of four adults) spent two weeks in July in this lovely house. The house is new, very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. No detail is overlooked, from the kitchen and bathrooms to the bedrooms and the living room (which is very large and comfortable). The hosts, Emi and Roberto, are very attentive and friendly. They offered to help us with any questions we had, but it wasn't necessary because everything in the house is comfortable and perfectly equipped for our stay (barbecue, iron, large refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, dishes, large TV, furniture, and countless other details). They were very thoughtful, providing welcome gifts and homemade sweets made by Emi. The location is in a quiet, beautiful spot with unbeatable views. There's a small garden full of flowers and a terrace for dining or enjoying a drink. It's close (by car) to several beaches, Colunga, and Villaviciosa, making everything very convenient and quick to get to. The village is small and peaceful, with a church and very friendly neighbors. These two weeks were unforgettable, thanks in large part to the house and the hospitality of its owners. La Escuela de Llera is highly recommended.
An experience worth repeating, 100% recommended. The house is superbly maintained and tastefully decorated. It's very well equipped and everything is carefully curated. The service from Emi, the host, was top-notch. Anything we needed, she was there to help. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful, perfect for unwinding and doing tons of nearby activities. The truth is that a week felt too short, so we'll definitely be back.
