Great hostel. Really clean and tidy. Also has a good kitchen facility. If you’re a surfer too, there’s good board storage, a wetsuit wash area and drying area. So perfect. It’s also super close to the beach.

Preferred this hostel over the surf one - better value, kitchen, hangout rooms and layout. Loved my stay and staff were so nice and helpful!! Location is close to everything.

I had specifically asked by email beforehand if I could have a lower bunk, and this was confirmed to me. However, when I arrived, I was given a top bunk with the explanation that an older person had come and the bed that was meant for me was given to him. The staff member claimed that since I am young, I could take the upper bunk, without knowing whether I might have any health issues. On top of that, the person was not very friendly. The door to the dorm could not be fully closed, so the light from the hallway always shone directly into my face through the gap. The top bunks have no curtains, and overall there is relatively little space in the rooms.

I'm traveling through France now and I miss the warm vibes of this hostel - the guys who run and work here are super friendly and helpful. I would say this is one of the most laid back spots I've visited in all the hostels I've been around. The rooms are fine but the sinks inside the room is a pau faux for me, as i can imagine high season could be a watery mess. The basque area is so chill and with good food I don't think is rarely matched elsewhere for what you pay for. The groceries here and stuff are high quality compared to what I've seen elsewhere though Bilbao has more shops for variety of fruit and nuts. What I like is the owner has put a bunch of hikes on their website with where to go and stuff. The butcher shop across the street is very good and their cheese I enjoyed a decent price for. Breakfast is good, abundant fruit - I don't eat anything else for breakfast so it's nice they provide that. Kitchen is almost industrial grade with whatever you need to cook for. In high season I wouldn't visit I can imagine this place is packed but for the time I was there the laid back vibes of Northern Spain and it's people will always be cherished 💜 Couple of not so good things ; sinks, there isn't enough bathrooms if I was here in full season I wouldn't stay , I've noticed more and more hotels becoming hostels and they have one large handicap bathroom upstairs but showers just one inside a unit for six people, not sure about that same one toilet though you can find a spare downstairs

The breakfast was good, everything seemed really clean and the staff were great, but I'm pretty sure I got bedbugs, they didn't offer me compensation or anything and now I have scars lol.
