Pension Balerdi

Nice pension perfectly situated in the old Town. The rooms are modern, clean and quite spacious. The bathroom could use more hanging options though (just one). The staff are very friendly and helpful. They provided us with a map of places for breakfast, pinxos and dinner. The only downsides would be that it can be a bit noisy but I guess that is normal being in heart of the old town. We would definately come back and recommend.

The pension is situated perfectly to discover the old town of San Sebastian. The rooms are well equipped, tidy, clean and modern. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is appropriate. What comes with the location naturally is the noise from the street especially during weekends. Unfortunately the walls to the entrance are quite thin. Therefore you recognise every other guests coming in or leaving at any time.

We spent a few days at Pensión Balerdi and were really satisfied. The rooms are modern with nice and clean bathrooms. The location is just perfect next to the historical center and in a few minutes walking distance to the beaches. You could walk barefoot with the wetsuit to Zurriola beach for a morning surf. The owner is super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it and would definetly like to come back!!

This guest house is a wonderful place to stay. Unai is an amazing host that will answer every question you have and more! The rooms are tidy, the place smells gorgeous 😌 Unai even borrowed me some towels for the beach! It is very central, close to both beaches, laundrette and plenty of places to eat. Good for short stays (not too much space to unpack lots of luggage). Modern bathrooms and you can borrow an iron from the reception. Every day they update a detailed notice board with sunrise/sunset, tides and other information. I would recommend for solo travellers, couples, digital nomads and even small groups. Thank you to the lovely team and Pension Balerdi for making my 4 days in San Sebastián so enjoyable.

We had a great stay at Pension Balerdi. Amazing location right in the heart of old town close to so many great pintxos. Great modern room with historic touches. Alaitz was so helpful and accommodating (even after a small booking mix up). She made us feel at home and gave us great suggestions for where to go. Would definitely stay again and send all our friends here!!
