We booked knowing it was a shared bathroom, apparently the other people staying did not. The couple staying in the room that shared our bathroom entirely thought it was theirs leading to us having to explain to them that we have equal access to the bathroom. Is it so difficult to have an “occupied/vacant” sign on the door for the bathroom? Bedroom was clean and tidy hence why it got the 2 stars for service. Terrible system, needs some common sense implemented and an update for the booking system so people are clear on what they are getting.
For this price and this location, it's VERY GOOD choice. I had a room without private bathroom, but I know that there are rooms with such. The room is clean and comfortable, but if you have room next to the old town street, better close your window at evenings and mornings, because it can get quite loud from there. And the air conditioner is making weird noises sometimes. There are three shared bathrooms in total so you don't have to wait to use one, because there's always at least one free. The hotel is quiet and clean. Hotel stuff is cleaning bathrooms every day from what I saw. Location is GREAT, it's at the Old Town which is charming. From hotel it's very close to beach, ferry to island, Jesus monument and other San Sebastian attracions. Overall, I RECOMMEND staying in this hotel.
Their Expedia advertisement for the room did not mention that the rooms do not have bathrooms. They informed me of this right after the free cancellation ended and refused to refund me. False advertising at best and straight up scam at worst. Avoid.
This was the best apartment we found in San Sebastian in terms of price and location! Lovely morning view on old bridge !
Great location close to all the restaurants that San Sebastián has to offer. Newly redone rooms with comfortable beds and air conditioning. Only thing to keep in mind is that not all rooms have an en-suite bathroom. Special thank you to Martin for helping arrange shipping an item that we left in our room to our next destination!
