If you book through another site like Booking.com you won’t get the email with the code to get in and then you have to call them because there’s no receptionist. The location is very convenient but there is a very noisy bar right below so if you get the room by the street it’s crazy loud, and there’s no AC so you have to choose between it being loud or hot.
Good, basic accommodation. Clean, comfortable room. Good use of limited space. Noce thoughtful touches. Easy to find and to access the room. Friendly host (who I met next morning). Perfect location in the heat of the old town. Surrounded by pintxos bars.
Just 5 minutes walk from the bus and railway stations, Pension Santa Clara is well located in the old town. It is a short walk from the harbour area and the seafront of La Concha beach to the west, the river to the east and mount Urgull over looking the city to the North. The Old town is packed with Great bars & restaurants & Pension Santa Clara is well placed to accommodate. The rooms are utilitarian, clean & reasonable.
The facilities and the room were really old and dirty. I liked that we had a fridge and all but it was in general too hot in the room even with a ventilator. Outside it 's quite loud.
Nice and cosy pension with private bathrooms for all the rooms. There is no breakfast but there is free coffee, fruits, cookies and pastry, which comes very nice in the morning. Also very clean and neat!
