Accommodations El Paramo

DISAPPOINTING. She kept the entire reservation fee, despite my informing her that I needed to cancel due to unforeseen family circumstances. Although she was at reception, I could only contact her by phone. She didn't have the decency or courtesy to come out and speak to us personally. I read many other reviews beforehand. Booking.com and she passed the buck and kept the whole amount. I hope they spend it on suppositories for constipation. SHAMELESS…!!!!!

**** BE CAREFUL **** BE CAREFUL ***** ONE OF THE APARTMENTS THEY RENT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE VILLAGE, ABOVE A RESTAURANT THAT PLAYS MUSIC UNTIL LATE AT NIGHT, SO FORGET ABOUT RESTING. The worst part is that you only discover this huge surprise when you arrive at reception, where the owner very kindly informs you that your apartment IS NOT WHERE YOU THOUGHT IT WAS, but that you have to travel to the center of town, where, logically, all the attractions for which you booked the apartment disappear. THE SEA VIEWS DISAPPEAR (the views are of a Health Center), THE FREE PARKING DISAPPEARS (it's right in the center of San Vicente de la Barquera, so parking is impossible), and THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT DISAPPEARS (you're right in the center of town, surrounded by restaurants with bustle and music until late at night). The owner justifies everything, telling you: First, it was your mistake. The apartment information says it's located in the town center, and you didn't read it. Luckily, I'm one of those people who keeps all the paperwork and information about the hotels I'm going to visit, and that information DOESN'T APPEAR ANYWHERE. Even if it did, which it doesn't, it would only inform you that it's in the center of San Vicente de la Barquera, hiding the EXACT LOCATION OF THE APARTMENT, WHICH IS CALLE RONDA Nº 1, ABOVE THE EL ARENAL BREWERY. The second is when you ask why the exact address of the apartment doesn't appear in your reservation, but instead appears as Barrio Boria, Nacional 634 Km 271, 39540 San Vicente de la Barquera (which is the location you decided to book, as it has sea views, a rural setting, and free parking). The justification they offer is that the reception is located there. And their final defense is to insist over and over again that the photos of the apartment's interior that appear in your reservation are correct, which is completely true (all photos are real). They are real photos of the interior of an apartment whose location you were completely unaware of. They also tell you that in one of the photos, it's clearly visible that you're in the center of town. I've attached the photo they're referring to, where perhaps if you look closely, you can see some rooftops out the window. To appease our discontent, the owner offered to exchange it for another apartment further away in the town. We declined, justifying her decision to not offer you one of the apartments you thought you were going to book in the rural area due to the lack of beds for your children. Also, to keep your anger from escalating, she acted friendly and escorted you to the surprise apartment. There, she insisted that you speak to Booking.com so the mistake wouldn't be repeated, as if you were the first guest this had ever happened to. In short, if we had known the exact address before going, seeing that it was located above a brewery, we would NEVER HAVE BOOKED IT. And you don't have to be very clever to deduce that this is the reason why she hides the address. If it were clearly stated on the reservation, many people would immediately discard it. I've attached photos of the entrance and the street where the apartment is located, and it's the second floor above the brewery shown in the photo. The last photo is of the beautiful views you have from the balcony, a nice Health Center

I wouldn't recommend this accommodation. At the end of your stay, you're required to clean and tidy the entire kitchen, which I find excessive considering the place should be left completely clean by the cleaning staff. Furthermore, the owner's attitude leaves much to be desired. I think there are much better options for the same price.

Nos hemos quedado dos noches y no hay queja del alojamiento. Cuando llegamos no había nadie en recepción pero nos dijo que ahora venían y tardaron muy poco en llegar. La habitación estaba limpia, cama cómoda y las vistas del jardín son muy bonitas. Dentro de la habitación hay una hoja de precios por si rompes algo, manchas las toallas de maquillaje o lo que sea que me parecen un poco desorbitados pero en parte tiene su lógica. Pese a otras reseñas que he leído sobre la educación de la persona que lo lleva con nosotros ha sido educada y simpática. Está cerca en coche de la playa y en general recomendaría alojarse aquí.

TO AVOID!! Rude welcome, the drunken matron made us wait 20 minutes then without saying hello threw the keys in our faces... then threw us out of the room by knocking on the door at 11am sharp to make us leave... the Franco regime is over, madam, shame...!! for 160 euros there is much better than that... especially her ridiculous artificial lawn..!! GO ELSEWHERE
