If you're thinking of spending a few days on vacation and want to enjoy some peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We stayed for five days, and they flew by. The house is located in the middle of nature; I think there are four or five rooms for rent. On one side, there are tables for breakfast or a snack at sunset, watching the sun set. It has privileged views and plenty of space for a stroll. The attention we received from the owner (Ángel) was fabulous. I highly recommend it.
Great experience. Babi and Ángel are wonderful hosts. Spectacular views of San Vicente de la Barquera. The room (bed), bathroom, and cleanliness were excellent. Disadvantages: You need a car to get there. They don't have Wi-Fi and data speeds are poor; if you have to work from here, you'll have a hard time. An ideal place to come and relax, just a 5-minute drive from San Vicente, where everything is available. Highly recommended
Babi and Ángel, the owners of the inn, are delightful. They recommend routes, beaches, and anything else you might ask about. The location is amazing. If you get a room with a balcony, you'll have a view of the Cantabrian Mountains and the sea to your left and right. Honestly, if you're going to Cantabria, El Somante is the perfect place to stay.
Simply UNFORGETTABLE. Wonderful service from the owners. The room was well-kept, clean, and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. And above all, incredible views (having breakfast or dinner on the terrace overlooking the sea and the San Vicente landscape is priceless). The perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature, in the heart of the Oyambre Natural Park. We will definitely return.
Accommodation in a stunning location. If you want a place where it seems like there's no one else in the world, this is the place. Small, clean rooms with basic amenities. If you're just exploring the area, they're superfluous. This isn't a place to stay and enjoy the indoor facilities. If the weather's nice outside, you'll want to stay put. Breakfast is good, but not a top-notch buffet. Toast or pastries, coffee with milk or cocoa, and a glass of fresh orange juice. Getting there is a bit complicated. The owner's service is unbeatable.
