This is a very idyllic hotel with friendly staff. The bed was comfortable. It takes about 20-30 min to walk to the center, but I think it is nice and cowbells are the only sounds you hear at night!
This place is an absolute haven set in the most stunning scenery. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the beds are so comfortable, views are beautiful and excellent service. The bathrooms have tubs and all other mod cons so this really feels like a little slice of luxury. Couldn’t recommend high enough!🙌💯
First of all, the staff and housekeepers are incredibly friendly, and the scenery is breathtaking. The location is also convenient, as the hotel is close to Sant Vicente de la Barquera village, where we attended our friends' wedding. We chose 'Hospedería Las Calzadas' as our post-wedding retreat, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the rest we hoped for. The room was poorly insulated, so we could hear everything—from guests walking in the corridors, on the stairs, or locking their doors, to nearby room occupants and housekeepers starting their shifts at 9:30/10 am. I hate leaving negative feedback, but the soundproofing is so inadequate that you're reliant on others for peace while trying to rest. Maybe I’m just a light sleeper, but I really didn’t enjoy lying in bed and hearing hotel guests in nearby rooms talking and laughing. All the best.
Good hotel as long as you can manage stairs! No lift, but apart from that great. Clean room, with a nice view from the balcony across the estuary and to the Picos mountains beyond
Excellent. Friendly, clean, easy parking in front of the hotel and 1,5 km walk from San Vicente de la barquera. Glasfiber internet. 👌
