Room was small and dark with very little space to set luggage. I think they have larger rooms so ask for one. Bathroom had no shelf to set washbag on. Breakfast was good for the price and service attentive. However the location is excellent for everything - close to bus station and ferry so would recommend it for this reason.
The bed was two singles pushed together instead of a double bed. There was no room for a bedside table on one side of the bed. There was a light above the bed which was either directly over my head or in the way when I got out of bed. The room was a bit cold so we tried to increase the temperature but it had little effect. The car park was at the station, a few minutes walk away.
I was “assigned” this hotel by the agency I used to do the Camino del Norte. Whilst some accommodation were a hit and miss, my experience at ABBA Santander has restored my faith in quality and honest customer focus. There is nothing that Virginia at reception could not help with. Absolutely knowledgeable and pleasant - always with a smile. From directions to numerous places and even booking a taxi, there was really nothing too much. Location is great. I had a very nice and clean room and buffet breakfast was ample and very good. Excellent hotel.

The hotel will be a great success once it is finished! The staff is FANTASTIC! Friendly, helpful, joyful! It was really a pleasure to return back to the hotel in the evening. Now it still has little a little of shortcomings due to pending renovation but the rooms we got were perfect, the breakfast good and the staff compensated for all. By the way, the location is also great. Two steps to the bus station where the airport bus has its stop. 10 steps to the train station for a bit longer trips and walking distance to the main city attractions.
