Very good location, between the bus and the train station. I was able to check-in at night, by using a code to get the key. The room was nice with all the necessary facilities. The only thing was the luggage storage that I was counting on and was available only until 14:00, while the staff is there. If you need a place to leave your luggage, there are lockers at the bus station for 4 euro per day.
. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Santander. The location couldn't be better The place is in the city center, walking distance to the train, coach station and the beautiful bay.I highly recommend this place.

I had a very nice stay at Hostal Cabo Mayor in Santander. The room was very clean and the bed very confortable. The bathroom has a modern shower. The place is very quiet. The location is excellent, next to the bus termina, right in the middle of downtown Santander. Plenty of restraurants, coffee shop and bars. The staff is very friendly and I would stay again in the Hostal!!!
Don't be misled by the first picture online that you see. It is a shabby building in downtown Santander. It has decent rooms, modern even. But the smell of fumes (exhaust) is choking. I had a window that could open, but it just let in more stench. The service is ok. Online it says you can check-in at 12 AM, but that's false. It is actually 3.00 pm.
