1 / 5 Worst hotel ever!!
I am travelling the world every week and I was working in Santander in the past. I have been in Santander one week a month for 2 years. This is the worst hotel I have experienced in my life: the staff is fantastic and it is the only thing
I was travelling with friends for holidays and we decided to stay in Santander
This was the cheapest option I found 175€ for a night with my wife and dog
Bad choice: air conditioning was portable and on top of the incredible noise (airplane in the room), the tube for hot air exhaust was not fixed and at 2:00AM it was spitting hot air inside. A disaster
The only good thing of this hotel is the personal but ESCAPE
1 / 5 A truly depressing hotel. On arrival it is like stepping into the soviet union. Lino floor and an unwelcoming receptionist. The common parts and rooms are awful. We are in a superior room on the 1st floor which smells of cat pee. The children are on the 2nd floor which has a weird green horse hair carpet. My advice would be to avoid this place which has the feeling of being operated as a money laundering operation.
2 / 5 Stand hotel near the city centre, we'll clean, close to the station and to bars and restaurants. Be aware that this is a simple hotel, there is no luxury in any sort of shape. The bedrooms are very old, there is no air conditioning (my bedroom did have a portable one which was unbelievable noise), parking is available for an extra €12 a day. Breakfast is poor, and I mean super poor, it would be better to remove that option from the bedroom rates, as it is embarrassing to offer what the hotel offers as ”Breakfast”. The beds are comfortable, the shower has great pressure. It is such shame that the owners let it go on this place, this hotel has all the potential to be a 5 stars hotel. I would recommend bringing in a new management team to shake things around and take the owners way from behind d the reception area.
5 / 5 Excellent tidy hotel, does exactly what it says on the tin! Clean and tidy, good value, stones throw from the city centre, friendly reception staff, aircon in the room. Couldn’t fault it. If like me you’re traveling on a budget it’s also walkable from the airport. What’s not to like 😁
2 / 5 It was the cheapest option in the city, so we weren't expecting much. It was very outdated, not the cleanest overall. The shower curtain was disgusting! It's not expensive to switch things like that and it makes a huge difference. It was terribly hot,as our window was facing a small, closed square and there was no air. The ceiling fan was noisy, waking us up. The breakfast was included and it was ok. The staff was friendly.
