Las Carolinas Garden

One of the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in (granted, I don't travel often, but I did not enjoy my stay here!). The room was cute, but there was a sewer smell seeping from the bathroom drains into the room. I literally had to use a towel to try and cover the crack between the floor and the bathroom door so that the smell would not become unbearable in the room during the night. The water pressure in the shower was ridiculously low. I could not shower properly for the entire week I stayed there. And to top it all off, there was no soundproofing of any kind. There was an event downstairs for a couple days and it was so noisy even on the second floor! I could hear people in the next room talking as if they were right next to me. At night, I could literally hear somebody use duolingo two rooms over! The balcony is not individual per room. There is a huge balcony spanning the second floor and all the rooms have access to it. That didn't bother me too much, but I wish it had been made clearer when I booked. The breakfast is paltry. Some whole fruit, hardboiled eggs, little Yogurts, toast with butter and jams, some tea, coffee, juice, a few slices of cheese, and a very small selection of pastries. It's enough to fill you up, but it feels like something you grab quickly and run rather than a proper breakfast you can stay and enjoy.

Very nice hotel at unbeatable rates. Very friendly and helpful reception. Private parking available for 8€. The whole interior of the hotel is very stylish, most furniture is classic vintage design. You can tell the age by small repairs here and there, but it only adds to the charm. Great views from the rooms in the back. Ask for a room with balcony.

Stayed here previously for ferry next day. We'll located for ferry. 10 mins. Rooms are large and clean. Bathroom clean and well maintained. A couple of local restaurants which we found met our needs. Would you stay again is always the question, yes, happy to :)) here we are again, as good as previous visits. What's not to like. If your happy with basic good food at a good price, then restaurants opposite will suffice. We enjoy a good burger bar but they do have a great mixture. 👍 your choice :)) hotel as good as previously:))

This was a beautiful old house with a gorgeous large garden, the rooms were large and very clean a bit dated and rustic but it had a certain charm. Our ferry was 2 hours late due to technical issues so we didn’t arrive at the hotel until after 11pm when reception would be closed but they stayed open just for us which was a nice touch as we advised the delay in advance . We did have some trouble finding the entrance but that was probably down to the heavy thunderstorm, breakfast was basic with that horrible orange juice you get in cheap hotels. The gardens were amazing and gave you the feeling you were out of the city. The city centre was about 15 minutes walk away although we were told it was 7 minutes, maybe on a moped. All in all we enjoyed our stay the Thunderstorm that kept us awake most of the night wasn’t the fault of the hotel. There was on site secure parking at only 8 Euros, no idea where you could park if you didn’t want to pay the fee.

Excellent breakfast and location, very near to the port. Would have been nice to have had a fan in the room to ease a very warm night. A lovely place to stay, would stay again every time.
