Igor and Mariló are the kindest hosts, felt so welcome. it was super clean with actual sheets and comfy beds. they also have a kitchen for some cooking. both of them were incredibly helpful and attentive!! enjoyed my stay there so much! yes the bathrooms are small, but come on it's for pilgrims and only 15€ for a perfect location in santander.. again, many thanks!! &buen camino:)
Central location and close to ferry point drop off. Rooms are a little crowded. Shower and bathroom facilities are very tight and even for small people difficult to close the door to use toilet. Or little space to dry off after shower. Staff was very friendly on arrival and helpful.
One of the pilgrims smelled awful and hadn't showered for 3 or 4 days. When the host was notified about the issue, he didn't do anything about it, condemning all of us to a night of stink and reek. That said, the host did recommend us a great restaurant named Sin Vueltas that was awesome.
I stayed in the hostel as a digital nomad, working from 10 till 18.30 on a fixed schedule. The day after check in I have been informed I’m required to abandon the building for 2 hours during my working hours as they wanted to clean. After discussion with the host I was allowed to stay, however, the volume of the music has been turned up each time I lowered it down as I could not hear well my colleagues during daily calls which made my experience unpleasant and stressful. I do not recommend this place for anyone who is planning to work from there. Also the host made noise in the morning, not taking into account that some of the guests may still be sleeping. Disappointing.
Do not stay here. I was going to stay here tonight but right before we went to sleep some fellow guests found live bed bugs in their bed. Everyone started checking and more guests began finding dead and/or live ones on their clothes or bedding. This was across several different dorm rooms. Almost all the guests packed up and vacated. Highly recommend avoiding this location.
