5 / 5 Atmosphere, friendliness and food are outstanding. Loved the way they made everything feel light and natural. Even the bread was the best I had in a while. Thank you for your kind hearth. Greetings from a peregrino
5 / 5 The owner was friendly and most accommodating, even though we arrived late at night, with no reservation in mid August. The hotel is tastefully decorated, a beautiful wooden staircase and cool pictures from local artists - it is restful and charming. The room itself was both clean and comfortable, with a good shower.
The restaurant is superb - taken through the menu by owner, who speaks very good English, after living in UK for some years - we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, delicious dishes, generous portions - all topped off with a fabulous local wine recommended by the owner. Friendly service, fresh locally sourced ingredients, cooked with care and skill - everything was just right. The quality and skill of the cooking and the overall ambiance, the cost of meal is more than reasonable.
Breakfast was simpler affair, yet still of a good standard, fresh bread, tomatoes and the cake was delicious too. All washed down with lashings of hot coffee.
The only regret was we only stayed for one night.
Highly recommend Cabo Vidio - we shall be definitely making a return visit, but this time, we'll make sure it will be for longer as the menu and wine list require further investigation.
5 / 5 We stayed 2 nights in January and were the only guests. The host was great. Recommended what to do and see. He prepared a gourmet meal even though the restaurant was closed. He upgraded our room and, since it was impractical to heat the entire hotel, gave us a bjg space heater and fired up the fireplace to further heat our room. It was a nice relaxing interlude from sightseeing on amonth long trip to Spain and Portugal. It wouldbe even better in summer when the weather is nicer.
