The Camino brings one into Vilalba along a straight row of commercial buildings somewhat deficient in style and character. Fortunately the street doesn’t run forever and eventually one ends up in the old part of town, a wonderful warren of stone buildings and narrow streets. Pension Suites Camino Norte occupies one of those old buildings but is wonderfully renovated and thoroughly modern. The bathroom was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the bedding was quality. Pension suites has a fantastic lounge for relaxing and engaging with other travelers, but one could easily spend a quiet evening in one’s room. One of the nicer places we’ve stayed while on the Camino.
Was quite surprised after reading positive reviews to be put in a stuffy ground floor room with stains all over the walls. Second night we were upgraded to a suite after mentioning the poor quality of our first room. A bit of a draw overall.
The most kind and helpful staff I have ever experienced. Apart from that, the hotel was spotless and the breakfast was also very nice!

I stayed at this accommodation for work and couldn't have made a better choice. A small hotel with attention to detail, decorated with excellent taste, and exceptional service from the staff. The room is spacious, very comfortable, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. I would especially highlight the cleanliness and the amenities offered, such as the laundry service and the option to leave your car in the private garage. You can tell the hosts enjoy their work by the care they show their guests. In short, they make you feel at home, something you really appreciate when traveling.
