HYP — Houses by Pilar

We stayed at Casa de la Abuela Victoria while walking the Camino de Santiago. We were two couples traveling with two dogs, but the house is enormous—we counted 10 beds, including the sofa beds—and has a garden that we couldn't use because it rained all day. It's truly pet-friendly accommodation, as they didn't ask about the weight of our furry friends at any point, and there's no extra charge for bringing them. For check-in, they add you to a WhatsApp group where they give you all the instructions. However, it seems my reservation got lost, and I had to call, which delayed our check-in time. But it wasn't a problem because there's a bar across the street where you can have a drink while you wait to check in. The house has all kinds of kitchenware (and when I say all, I mean all!), and they even left us a complimentary bottle of cold water and a bag with four delicious homemade croissants. A place to return to and, above all, to recover from a stage of the Camino.

This is the second time we've stayed at Las Hortensias. The apartment is very spacious, with double-glazed windows that insulate you from outside noise. They thoughtfully brought us croissants for breakfast. Midweek, they offered to change our towels and sheets. They thought of everything. In short...everything was perfect.

Accommodation with meticulous attention to detail, wonderful views of the estuary, and a wide variety of restaurants in the area. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and everything you could need, and more. It's perfect down to the last detail. If I had to mention something that wasn't so great, I'd say that despite having double-glazed windows, being on the main road [N550], you can hear the traffic. But this doesn't detract from everything else, which is well worth it. The photos accurately reflect the accommodation, and I'd even say it's better in person. It was a pleasure to stay at your beach house, Matilde. We were a group of five, and everything was comfortable and exceeded our expectations. 100% Recommended.

We stayed at Casa Manecas, an older building without an elevator but renovated and with all the comforts. The location is good. Pilar and her team are attentive to anything you need. Highly recommended.

The houses are fantastic, both in terms of service, cleanliness, and decor. It's clear that Pilar is a wonderful host and takes great care of both the houses and the guests. We stayed at Casa Do Correo Vello in Pontevedra and Camino Conde in Arcade, and both were fantastic, very cozy and comfortable for a family of four. Pilar and her husband made our lives so much easier that one day we'll even drive from our destination to the starting point of the previous leg to pick up our car. We'll definitely book with her when we return in the summer. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
