Sadly an old establishment making tbe most out of Pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. The room was clwan but lacking ANY facilities. Had to ask for soap and shower gel. Breakfast was very disappointing absolutely nothing hot nor other than bread or wheat based. No dinner or bar facilities. A recommendation for dinner was not open. Had to eat in another hotel. Lication was isolated on a major road. Just very disappointing. Breakdast was not available until 8.30, so a little late for those pilgrims wanting to set off brught and early.
The hotel is dated. For this price of 50 euros you get what you pay for. A great room, clean. Nice view of the bay. Good service and explanation.
We stopped here during our al Camiño walk. It was raining heavily and we were drenched. The kind receptionist gave us an extra heater to warm up. They washed and dried our clothes. Their service was the best. The hotel was old but offered decent value and the facilities worked without problems.
I encourage pilgrims passing to stop here. Staff are so welcoming. Rooms are just what you need. A lovely pool to feel refreshed in! And there’s just 800m shortcut to be back on “the way”. In Arcade we found locals not so welcoming and prices expensive. Las Islas is perfect.
I had a very comfortable stay during my Camino. It was just what I needed for one good night sleep and I am glad I stayed there. The host ladies were super friendly and the trail behind the hotel was just magical. Strongly recommend for a comfortable night apart from usual pilgrim routine at a reasonable cost:)
