This hotel was right on my Camino path. The room was clean and spacious. My room had a little balcony facing the Main Street. It had its own kettle, so I could get warm after the rain with some hot tea. It was attached to a small restaurant which had an excellent vegan burger. The breakfast was very good as well.
Good location, very clean modern room, but could benefit from tea and coffee facilities. Part time reception which might prove problematic for some. Nice bar with outside seating around the pool. Sports TV for those important events!!!
The host was very friendly, she made delicious dinner including dessert. Breakfast included eggs, bakery fruits and home made yogurt and jam. It felt like a guest at someones Villa in the 18-19 century
This hotel is in a wonderful location, BUT you must be willing to put up with the noise and commotion at night from the bar/lounge that is run in conjunction with the hotel. There is wonderful shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. Parking can be a challenge if you bring a car. The room was spacious, it had a nice tub for soaking and couch for lounging. The toilet is hidden behind the door and requires serious ballerina moves to just use it. The bed was very hard and round(see pics). The air-conditioning kept the room cool when it worked. There were no instructions to use the saf. They were locked inside the safe by the previous guests, and front desk personnel didn't know how to access it. We reported the door handle to the main door needed fixed and the door rattles when other guests opened their doors, this was not fixed during our 7 day vacation. The breakfast was above average. The pool looks nice but very shallow and quite small. My true rating would be 2.5, but you can not give .5 stars. For the price we paid, I expected more.
We stayed here only for one night. The room was very spacious and decorated with taste. Comfortable double king bed. The location is ideal near everything in Barcelos. There are a few things: There were broken glasses on the floor near the swimming pool where you are likely to walk barefoot. The next day the broken glasses were still there, which indicated nobody cleaned the place or overlooked it. It is very noisy at night, however we went downstairs to complain and they responded positively turning off the speaker near our room. Breakfast was relatively basic compared to similar places in Portugal.
