Lovely place to stay to explore Porto or start the Camino. Its clean, has everything you need! The breakfast was really nice and delicious!
While walking the camino, I booked a dorm bed here via Booking. As I clicked to book, I immediately realized that I had selected the wrong night and within minutes sent the guesthouse messages (via e-mail and via Booking) asking whether I could cancel or re-book for the following evening. I didn't receive any reply and the following morning was charged the full rate as a no-show. Listen, I know the initial mistake was mine. But you can’t run a serious business and simply not reply to your guests’ e-mails. It would have been poor customer service to not even try to accommodate my request, but at least it would have been better than being ignored. This guesthouse has billboards with QR codes plastered by the side of the road 20 km south of Barcelos, so they're clearly playing dress-up as a serious business. However, it’s clear -- from my interaction with them and from their aggressive replies to other google reviews -- that they aren't managing their business in a mature or responsible way. You should stay elsewhere if you’re a pilgrim passing through Barcelos.
Great accommodation in Barcelos. Very Central and a lovely clean establishment. We were on our camino to Santiago. The receptionist was super friendly and they kept our transported luggage and we could also leave our luggage for pickup. Breakfast was good and they gave us fruit to take with us. Our room overlooked the square and lots of windows which is great 👍
This is a disaster, we booked a room and the hotel, a woman in particular, refused us access as soon as she got our IDs. She spoke to us very rudely. We ended up without a reservation with our children, knowing that we had already paid. We don't understand. This hotel is a scam. Avoid it. good answer its professional Absolutely false see the response by email from booking you judged before speaking and based on a simple piece of identification you did not allow us to express ourselves on the phone due to your unhealthy aggressiveness do not allow yourself to disrespect us I think that being a shopkeeper you do not have the meaning in short, I prefer to move on but I want customers to know that stepping foot in your establishment is a risk that is financially and morally damaging.
Beautiful, comfortable and safe accommodations. A privacy curtain for every bed. Lovely balconies. Clean shower with nice water pressure. Big beautiful kitchen and common spaces. Andreina couldn’t be more kind to me and helped me with every need from an extra towel, to a hair dryer, to assistance with finding restaurants and connections within the community.
