Top’Otel

We were accommodated in a family room. The reservation was a little bit odd, app side, but the personnel just made our life easier and we enjoyed the stay. Big plus for the staff.

We love the Top'Otel. Even though it said it is 3 star hotel, we find a mini fridge at our room with drinks and snacks inside and they are sold in reasonable price. We also have a kettle to make tea and coffee. The hot drinks are included in our room rate. The staff are very polite and helpful. I would like to thank the twin sisters who work at the reception. The breakfast is lovely. Our room is really nice with a round bed. The bed is very comfortable. This was the first time we slept on a round bed in our life 😄🛌

We were overjoyed that the hotel was right by the river. As we’d just walked 30km from Vila De Condes on the Caminho Portuguese, we really didn’t want to walk any further! The hotel had a charming eccentricity with quirky decor and we were given a similarly charming welcome. Our room was the Camino Santiago suite, a large bedroom with balcony affording great views across the river to the beautiful old town - very handy to dry some of our washing too! Breakfast was an excellent spread of fresh fruits, cereals, breads, meats & cheeses with hot scrambled eggs and bacon. For two vegetarians it was more than enough to fuel our legs for the next stage of our hike.

The rooms were spotless and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. After walking across the bridge over the river we found a delightful square with a fountain and bustling night life. We had an enjoyable relaxing evening after having had a long, hot walk! The breakfast was delicious: we were even offered eggs and bacon. We would recommend this accommodation.
