The hotel is located in a nice building. Keeping it classic would make it much more inviting the turning into design hotel. Spa not really inviting. And if you have any respiratory issues stay away as the hotel has fragrance devices everywhere. The breakfast was amazing so.
The room was nice with some design but the restaurant inside the hotel was mediocre. I ordered a steak, medium, it came nearly well done. I made a complain to the waiter in English but he explained to my husband in português, though I know he could speak perfect English with other tables the whole night. I felt disrespect.
We thought that we would treat ourselves to a nice hotel stay during the Caminho, but were unfortunately wrong. Seems like there is no Investment or interest to keep it nice, value for money was terrible, we were very disappointed. + Some staff was friendly Location is great Large bed - Wellness was a joke, dirty, old, Sauna not functioning, no changing rooms and you had to buy shower caps to use it Insects everywhere in the room In need of renovations Mold in the shower Whole hotel smelled moldy Breakfast nothing special
The city is charming and the location of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast is good and the restaurant staff is nice. One of the receptionists was not friendly at all at the check-in. In our room the hair dryer and the AC was not working. The room was too warm and we had to open the window (winter time) to cool it down. On the other hand, the internal pool area was too cold! "The water of the pool is "heated" by solar panels, so it might not be hot." Indeed! It was less than warm, in fact. We only stayed a couple of minutes. There are only 2 chairs and 4 deck chairs in the area. So with a couple of people it is full capacity. If you are looking for this hotel because of the pool, I strongly do not recommend it
Brilliant concept, dog-friendly hotel, unbeatable location and friendly staff. Highly recommended! An improvement suggestion: the spa area should be managed a bit better (as customers have to turn on Turkish bath and sauna by themselves, which both take long time to reach the necessary temperature).
