LITOS AL

The train tracks are mere feet from the back of this building. And to make matters worse, there is a signal right outside, so trains occasionally stop and you hear/feel the engine and you hear them blowing their whistle every time they pass. Unless you can sleep through an earthquake, ignore everything else. My fault for not looking carefully at the map.

We have been staying at Litos AL (in their second house a few meters down the road) for a few days now and we are very happy and grateful. The rooms are nice and comfortable (as we had more than one, we recommend to ask for room number 2 :-) ), the road in front is not frequented much (you will hear the pilgrims talk, the little birds chirp and the seagulls cry). The owner as well as the staff are all very friendly and trying to meet all wishes. A highlight is the breakfast for 2,50 (!) and the happiness of the pearl of the house, Elisabeta. Thank you!

The hotel is located next to a railway and has no sound isolation. So you hear the bells of the railway and the train loud and clear. Same for the next room or the reception (our room was next to the reception). The beds were not comfortable, we could feel the iron bonnel springs in the mattresses. No way we could sleep here so we left and booked another hotel nearby.

Attic room was hot. We both hit our head several times due to low ceilings. The portable ac unit did not function as it was supposed to because the exhaust hose came undone. The lobby and eating area is super small. Breakfast was well attended by server but just ok. Cheap ham and cheese. The beds were clean but hard.

The rooms were small. Kitchen was almost empty. We were 4 and there was only one glass. Bathroom was so-so, at least clean. Kitchen was not clean. Location is close to road on one side and train on other. So we had full night of noises. There was only one small window, bathroom had none. Only one tiny wardrobe. Person who greeted us spoke only few words. Not that he was unfriendly, but more uninterested.
