Olá Vida - Hostel Caminha

(-) Don’t stay there on the weekends! There’s a nightclub right around the corner which played loud music from 2am to around 4am. Even with windows closed and ear plugs, sleep was impossible. (-) All in all a bit pricy for what you get. The private room in the groundfloor smelt of mold. Beds were too hard. Also it was very noisy as every conversation made in the common area/kitchen was clearly audible. (+) staff was friendly and always available. The hostel is located right next to the ferry station.

Very good price quality value. Super nice welcoming , nice rooms, bathrooms and guests. What more do we need? So, almost the best albergue that I know, second place ☺️ I’m sorry for the owners, but to me there’s one beating everybody, but I’m not going to tell it here 😉 Muito obrigado

Clean, tidy shared bedrooms, shared shower and shared kitchen. You can't cook much in the kitchen but there's free fruits, tea and coffee. Things that maybe need a bit of improvement - English language of the staff could've been a bit better and we were terrorized by flies while sleeping if you leave the window open at night.:D It is also quite hard getting back to Caminha at night if you're coming here for the Sonic Blast festival like we did because there's no trains and no busses after midnight. Definitely try Jeni's Diner up the street from the hostel, delicious food, we had breakfast there every day. Beautiful little city worth the visit!

Stayed here while walking the Camino for one night and it was perfect! Located near the water taxis, supermarket and restaurants, the location of this hostel was definitely prime! Thank you to Dmitri as well for being the perfect host, and giving lots of recommendations in the local area. Would definitely recommend:)

Ola Vida is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean room and bathroom. Decor is very cozy designer feel. Definitely a gem in Caminha. Highly recommend to anyone doing the Camino Santiago.
