Residencial Galo d'Ouro

Accommodation is well located. The owner was very friendly and the bed sheets clean. However it is a very old house in need of extensive renovation and it seems the owner do not invest any of the money coming in back into the property. Hence everything is old, and the bathroom not very pleasant. For that it is definitely too expensive!

We were told on the phone that it was 30€ and when we got there it was 60. Perhaps a language misunderstanding. The shower had no door so was not very satisfactory. On the upside, the host lady was very nice.

The old lady is really lovely. The room was clean and had everything I needed. 1 star less cause it's a bit old, but reminded me of my grandma's home so totally fine. Very uncomplicated and directly in the center of caminha.

Eu amei o quarto! Ele é simples, o prédio é antigo e subimos dois lances de escadas. Mas a vista da janela é linda, por sobre muitos telhados, dá pra ver bem longe! O banheiro é pequeno mas novíssimo e eficiente, alem de ter uma janela maravilhosa com uma vista linda e indevassada. Estava fazendo o Caminho de Santiago e fiquei apenas uma noite, um sábado de verão, ou seja, a cidade estava animada até alta madrugada e, como estava com as janelas abertas, dava pra ouvir pessoas cantando pela rua. Mas foi só fechar que ficou tranquilo. A anfitriã, se não me engano, D. Maria, é muito querida. Localização excelente. Aliás, Caminha parece bem legal de passar um fim de semana!

Super old bathroom, no longer up to standard, a television from the 80s without a remote control, a wobbly floor, windows that cannot be opened when it is too hot in the room, they are blocked with a piece of wood. Given the dilapidation of the hotel, it does not deserve a price of €85 for one night
