This place gets a bad rap and in my opinion and experience it's out of context OR simply people expecting white table service for Macca's prices and complaining about how they didn't get what they expected.. It's a hostel!! The great thing is you get a room a PRIVATE room, not a bunk bed or shared sleep space for the same if not cheaper price than an Albergue.. yes you share a bathroom but who doesn't when you're a pilgrim.. so I'd suggest you consider your own capacity and willingness to be communal, to embrace the Camino, if you expect others to wait on you hand and foot without question of their needs!!
The lady really made an effort and was very friendly. The room was okay, the bathroom was fine too. However, the building is very noisy, and the resident seemed drunk (?). That evening, he simply peed right in front of me, right on the path to the garden, babbling loudly to himself. I didn't feel comfortable and would have left if I had had another option. It might be okay for a man (or several men), but as a woman, I didn't feel safe at times.
A terrible experience. The accommodation was in unacceptable conditions: the house was dirty, full of insects, with an old and very bad smelling toilet, and the kitchen was unusable. In addition, they were doing interior work with a very strong smell of paint while we were inside, which made it impossible to stay there. At night, very strange noises started to sound that made us leave before going to sleep to feel at least a little safe. We had to look for another place to spend the night, losing the money from the reservation. This situation is not only unacceptable, but also calls into question the quality and safety of the accommodation. I do not recommend it in any way.

It was unfortunate, we had to leave the house. Everything was dirty and impractical. Insects in the rooms, everything was dirty... I don't recommend going.
