Sea Soul Esposende

Very nice hostel. Allowed me to stay in a private room with my dog one night along the Camino. Great common areas, comfortable beds with linens and duvet, excellent communication.

What a fantastic place! Firstly beautifully designed building and interior but this seems typical of Esposende. What was not expected was the hight level of professionalism and care by the front of house. Cori (German volunteer) was friendly and extremely helpful and it makes the whole experience excellent! I would recommend this place to everyone. Obrigado!

I stayed here whilst passing through on Camino. A nearby albergue further on has very poor reviews, which I was told later, were justified. Sea Soul isn't an albergue, it is a hostel. We didn't experience much pilgrim spirit, though there were some pilgrims, as guests seemed to be happy enjoying the quiet space and luxury. The check in with Eduardo was great. He was welcoming and helpful. It was a great start. The dorm rooms are kept very clean. I checked under the mattresses etc for pests, as pilgrims should do, and the room was clean. The mattresses are very soft and comfortable, with clean linen already fitted. Towels are provided. There is a huge cupboard with keys for your pack etc. No coins required. This keeps the room tidy, and goes a long way to avoiding unwanted pests near beds. The lounge area is beautiful. There are TVs, fuzzball, games, books, fireplaces etc. There is an honesty bar with very fair prices eg 1euro per beer. The swimming pool is small but perfectly useable. It was cool during our stay, so I avoided it. Restaurants are about 2-5 min walk away depending on your mobility. So is the seafront. Bikes are available for rent out front. The toilets and showers are communal, but clean and in good condition. There is a place to wash laundry outside and a washing line. I highly recommend Sea Soul if you are passing by. If you are a pilgrim, the dorm rooms are great. I hope people continue to follow etiquette and keep their belongings in the lockers to avoid issues with pests. I would gladly stay here again, and it was a restorative place to stay when feeling a little tired on Camino.

We had a private room with twin beds. Very comfortable.

One of the best hostels ive stayed at. Beds are extremely comfy. The pool is super rad. The owner even put black out curtains on each bed so you know you’re going to sleep great. Thanks for having us !
