Casa da Matriz (AL) - Fão

Rita and her home are an absolute gem. You could not stay in a more comforting place during your Camino. From the moment you meet her, her warmth and care are apparent and it immediately feels like home away from home. Her home is immaculately clean with all manner of thoughtful accommodations. It is large with lots of welcoming spaces to relax. The bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious compared to any other offering on the Camino. It was a shame that I was the only guest on my night here - you could not rest in a better place during your Camino!

Friendliest owner, amazing beds and showers, good restrants nearby, 8 Ball pool and sitting areas in the livingroom, felt like home.

Miss Rita, has such an amazing soul and she is so caring and loving for all her guests. She welcomed us with open arms during our trek on to Santiago and we were thrilled to have her company. She greeted us on the street and provided an excellent breakfast to start our day. We are very thankful for her and her spirit. This was truly a stay that cannot be topped. Thank you again!

I stayed at the 19th September for one night. I had the best room in the house (comfortable Bed, luxurious Bathroom, great balcony). Rita was the kindest person that I have met on the Camino. She is such a good host that cares about her guest and is always willing to help, when she is needed. I just created a google account for the soul purpose of being able to give Rita’s Casa 5 stars. -Jonas

We feel blessed to find Rita’s wonderful home. She is so warmhearted, helpful, caring and nice lady. We were in need, indeed. She even helped me to relief my knee pain. Beautiful rooms and bathroom, there is a washing machine as well, a big kitchen equipped, huge terrace, located in the heart of the town. We felt like at home. In walking distance restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy. Highly recommend that place.
